Party Rental Contract/Terms and Conditions
Responsibility and Use & Disclaimer Warranties
The customer agrees to accept full responsibility and liability, and the Customer shall defend, indemnify/hold
no accountability to M&J Party Rentals LLC for any injury to any other person(s), for any damage to the
property of any other person(s), and any other loss that may result through the use or misuse of the Goods.
Making a Reservation
To confirm a reservation, we require your contact information, a valid credit card number on file, a deposit, and
a signed TERMS AND CONDITIONS. The deposit is 50% NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT of your total
order, which will be deducted from your final balance. Your order will not be considered ‘reserved’ until a
deposit and signed contract are received. Quotes and proposals due not guarantee availability of rental
equipment.
Payments
Payments can be made in either of the following ways: credit card/Debit card, Zelle, or cash. We take payments
in person, over the phone, or by invoice. All deposits are 50% NON-REFUNDABLE ONLY IF BOOKING 14
DAYS BEFORE YOUR EVENT. All payments must be paid 7 days prior to your event. Payments AFTER
your event are not allowed.
Cancellation Policies
Your satisfaction is of the utmost importance to us. On the day you book your order, the items are considered
out of our inventory for the date specified, and thus, made unavailable to other potential customers. This ensures
you will have all the items you need on the date you require them. Because of this, we do have certain policies
regarding changes to your order. The Event Deposit is NON-refundable, however if costumer chooses to cancel
event 14 days or more prior to the event the deposit becomes a credit for future orders. The credit is for 2 years
of payment date, an email will be sent to confirm such credit. The only way a deposit becomes refundable is if
we are in state of emergency. THERE ARE NO REFUNDS ON UNUSED ITEMS.
Rental Period
The rental rate is based on a 24-hour rental. Should you need the items longer, please contact us and ask about
our multi-day rates.
Delivery and Pick Up
Delivery rates are based on drop off to a point immediately accessible to our truck, usually your driveway,
garage, or yard. All deliveries require the signature of a responsible party for the equipment to be left. Delivery
times are set on the week of delivery. You will be given a morning or afternoon delivery time. Morning delivery
means the items will be delivered between 9 am and 12 noon. Afternoon deliveries are between 12 noon and the
last delivery of the day. Our trucks will deliver each item until their schedule is complete. Should you have
special delivery requests, please contact us, and we will do our best to accommodate your needs. As there are
many deliveries in a day, it is not always possible to give exact delivery times.
Set-up
We will set up all Marquee and Pole tents, all tent specific accessories, dance floors, inflatables, and custom
lighting packages. Tables and chairs are left stacked, and we are also available to set up chairs, tables, and other
items for an additional set-up and tear-down fee. We do not generally offer set up of table settings, linens, or
other general decor items but we can often coordinate this if required, for an additional fee.
TENT SET-UP
Please keep in mind that we are usually busy and on a tight schedule. Renter must assure that the grass is cut
before we arrive and that the area is free of any items. M&J Party Rentals LLC is not responsible for moving
any outdoor furniture, garbage, play grounds and or other items. The area must be completely ready for us to
install. Once our staff begins to set up, we can no longer take it down. This is why it is important to plan ahead
on placement of the tent. Our pole tents require 10ft additional to its original size for example, for a 20x20 we
require a flat area of 30x30. This is to ensure that your tent is safe and secure for you and your guest. For safety
reasons tent cannot be installed on slopes or hills. Our staff is always available to come to your property and
measure. Please call our office or email us to schedule an appointment. If for any reasons our team must return
or have to wait due to switching to another size tent, uncut grass or etc. a fee will apply depending on the milage
Returns
On return, linens must be dry to prevent mildew, free of any wax, food, or confetti, and placed in the boxes
provided. Do not place damp linens in plastic bags. Tables and chairs should be stacked up, and all other items
should be kept in a safe place away from the weather elements. If chairs, and tables are not stacked and or free
of items an additional fee will apply. $1.00 per table $0.50 per chair. M&J Party Rentals LLC will not be held
responsible if tables are not clear of centerpieces, linens and other items not belonging to us. We highly
recommend to have everything ready for drivers to pick up, to avoid disappointments.
Rental Item Wear
Due to the nature of our business, our items are frequently rented and cleaned. While we strive to give you the
best quality products every time, please note that there may be signs of “ordinary wear and tear” and that we
cannot guarantee new or like-new quality.
Hold Harmless Agreement
The “Renter” agrees to all risk and agrees to indemnify M&J Party Rentals LLC and any of its staff from and
against any and all claims, losses, liability, damage, and all cost and expenses arising directly and indirectly at
or relating to; the delivery, loading, unloading, erection, installation, dismantling, and use of rented equipment.
Contact of underground utilities, pipes, or any condition on renter’s property. All necessary surface repairs. Any
injury or damage during the use of rented equipment, including inflatables and any other interactive games.
Taking Care of the Equipment
In addition to its other obligations hereunder, the Renter shall; Pay a reasonable charge for items returned dirty.
Protect the rental items from weather damage, breakage, unauthorized or improper use, theft, or loss while in
possession of the Renter.
Be sure all equipment is returned according to these TERMS and CONDITIONS. The client is solely
responsible for any additional charges incurred as a result of failure to meet these conditions. All collection
fees, attorney’s fees, court costs, or any expense involved in the collection of rental charges will be client’s
responsibility. I have read and agree to the above TERMS AND CONDITIONS and acknowledge receipt of
same.
